"I am the Living Bread sent down from heaven. He who eats of My Flesh and drinks of My Blood shall not die, but will have eternal life."
This “Bread of Life Image” is artist Carol Pascale’s rendering of a vision sketched by, and described in more detail to her by, Geraldine Miller. It depicts the moment of transubstantiation during the Consecration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
This beautiful image not only serves as inspiration to us all, but more importantly, as confirmation of the absolute truth of the Real Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

The Bread of Life is an original oil painting by Carol Pascal. It is a rendering of a mystical image of the Transubstantiation of the Holy Eucharist at the Consecration of Holy Mass. It was originally sketched by, and described in greater detail to Carol, by Geraldine Miller, a St. Laurence parishioner.
A photographic copy of the image was unveiled on September 22, 2015, in honor of Pope Francis’ visit for the 2015 World Meeting of Families at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 21 S 13th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
The image was blessed by our Holy Father, Pope Francis, on September 26, 2015, during the parade for the Festival of Families on the Ben Franklin Parkway. A total of 100,000 Holy Cards were distributed on the streets of center city Philadelphia, in local parishes, and at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul by Father Gerald Gill, Cathedral Pastor and Director of Liturgy for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Holy Cards will also be available to visitors in July.
The accompanying prayer, originally named “A Sinner’s Prayer,” received the Nihil obstat from Reverend Robert A. Pesarchick on September 23, 2015, and the Imprimatur on September 29, 2015, from Most Reverend Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. Archbishop of Philadelphia. The prayer has been renamed the “Geraldine Prayer.”
Please come to St. Laurence Roman Catholic Church to experience the Bread of Life image.
We look forward to sharing this beautiful image and prayer card with you. Please come, and tell your family and friends. ALL ARE WELCOME!
Thank you, Fr. S. O’Neill

Geraldine Prayer (A Sinner's Prayer)
O my Lord and my God! I do not believe enough. I do not adore enough. I do not hope enough and I do not love enough. But You have called me to prayer; and so, I thank You and I bless You, I humbly beg Your pardon for my sins and for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You; for the outrages, sacrileges, blasphemies and indifferences by which You are so greatly offended.
Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly and I offer to You, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the only Perfect and truly acceptable offering, the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, sacrificed upon the cross and truly present in all the tabernacles of the world. Unite this, O Lord, to all the Masses prayed and all the Holy Communions received from the beginning of the Church until the end of time, for the suffering souls in Purgatory, for Your priests and Holy Church, for the conversion of sinners, especially for those who do not pray or make reparation for themselves, for them, and for myself, in reparation for my sins and for sinners everywhere.
My Eucharistic Jesus, Bread of Life, feed us with Your Body and quench us with Your Precious Blood. Look upon us with Mercy and by Your Divine Grace, heal us. Amen.
A Prayer to the Divine Justice
Heavenly Father, look upon this poor sinner through the wounds of Your Son, Jesus, who sacrificed Himself for me (him, her). Wash me (him/her) in His Precious Blood. Accept His offering for my (his/her) sins, and in Your Mercy and through the grace of the Holy Spirit, purify my (his/her) sinful soul and grant me (him/her) eternal salvation. Amen.
A Prayer for the Conversion of Sinners
Jesus, I love You and adore You truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament and I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners. Amen.
